Older and Weiser

A commenter has asked for “an explanatory post” about Older and Weiser. She is right to ask for a clarifying word since our blog is still in its infancy—we’re still browsing the digital swatches known as “templates.”

Older and Weiser is a space for lively writing and discussion. We want this blog to be a sort of gridiron for civil discourse; a place for ideas to breathe a bit more luxuriously than they do on Twitter. The ideal contributor—writer or commenter—will bring a sharp, thoughtful and hopefully unique point of view to our readers.

To begin, Michael Weiser has written a number of op-eds on the subject of his recent fact-finding trip to Israel. In addition to new posts and photos on that subject, we will also bring you some thoughts on the upcoming National Conference on Citizenship. The NCOC is an organization that “measures, tracks and promotes civic participation across the U.S.” Michael Weiser is the elected Chairman of the NCOC.

We hope you will soon feel compelled to add your own thoughts, barbs or edits. We’ll have plenty of interesting reading in the coming weeks.
